OUR STORY

Navigate was built on a simple belief: compliance should do more than keep organisations out of trouble. It should help them operate with confidence, adapt to change and earn trust. ​

Our journey began in traditional financial services compliance — helping organisations interpret regulation, manage regulatory obligations and strengthen their control environments.
 
But the world around compliance was changing.
 
Financial services became more digital. Regulatory expectations expanded. Data became central to almost every business decision. Technology changed how customers were onboarded, advised and serviced. And, more recently, artificial intelligence and automated decision-making began reshaping how organisations operate.
 
We evolved with it.
 
What began as a specialist compliance advisory business grew into a broader governance, risk and compliance ecosystem, combining regulatory expertise, managed services, professional capability development and technology.
 
Along the way, we have supported organisations across financial services and other regulated sectors — from established institutions to emerging businesses navigating regulation for the first time.
 
We built teams that could do more than advise. They could implement, remediate, operate and transfer capability.
 
We established a learning academy to help develop the next generation of compliance and risk professionals.
 
And we began building technology because we saw a recurring problem: organisations were still trying to manage increasingly complex regulatory environments through fragmented systems, spreadsheets, documents and manual processes.
That evolution led to AURA, our regulatory and GRC infrastructure, and later Altara, our response to a new governance challenge: how organisations govern AI, automated decisions, data and consumer outcomes in an increasingly intelligent financial system.
 
Today, Navigate sits at the intersection of regulation, technology and trust.
 
Our work spans regulatory compliance, GRC, financial crime, learning and capability development, regulatory intelligence, data governance and AI governance.
 
But the principle behind the business has remained remarkably consistent:
